· Get a number of quotes, this is important, because you will need to compare them to make sure you are getting a fair price for the building work.
· It is always advisable to go through a builder, who comes with recommendation, this way you are guaranteed to get a good job.
· Advise the builder your time scales and say that you are wanting it done within a number of weeks, otherwise you may find that they are coming to your job in between others.
